In Doddridge County Schools, we have been INCREDIBLY BLESSED to partner with some of the BEST BUSINESSES in West Virginia...and Hall Drilling is a PRIME EXAMPLE of this!!! In the last year or so, we have been working with companies that are interested in investing in a Trucking Simulator for our high school students. We were SO EXCITED when Hall Drilling (Mike and MT Hall) agreed to purchase a state-of-the-art Trucking Simulator for the students of DCHS. This simulator will not only provide students the opportunity to practice driving a truck in a safe and engaging workspace, but also practice and prepare to get their CDL's when they turn 18 years old. The impact of this purchase is INVALUABLE and will make a positive difference in this community for years to come!!! Tonight, the Doddridge County Board of Education welcomed Sheriff Boring and the Doddridge County Sheriff’s department to their meeting and School Resource Officer Kirby Miller. This year marks the 15th year for Prevention Resource Officers in the school system. The board held a small reception to recognize the partnership in student safety and mentorship provided by the officers. Chad Evans, president of the Board of Education stated “Doddridge County Schools is honored to present this award to Sheriff Boring, his dedicated deputies, and School Resource Officer, Kirby Miller, in recognition of their unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our students and community. Through their tireless collaboration with our schools, they have created a secure and thriving environment for our children. Their dedication to safeguarding our students is truly invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for the vital role they play in ensuring the future of Doddridge County. This essential work is made possible by the continued support of our taxpayers and the school levy. Your contributions are not only crucial to maintaining the safety of our students but also to the ongoing success of this vital partnership. September 19 has been declared West Virginia School Service Personnel Day by Governor Justice. I also wish to express my gratitude for all the hard work and dedication our service personnel bring to Doddridge County Schools. Their efforts make a world of difference in creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for students and staff alike. Their commitment to their work and compassion for our students, whether in the cafeteria, maintaining our facilities, providing support in the classroom, making sure our buses are safe, transporting our students or managing administrative tasks, does not go unnoticed. They play a vital role in shaping the educational experience and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. So thank you to our School Service Personnel! Superintendent Scott Cochran.

Good Evening, The Doddridge County Board of Education is committed to the safety of all students and staff members. As many are aware, there has been a statewide and nationwide circulation of school threats via various forms of social media. At this point, Doddridge County has no credible evidence as it relates to these threats associated with our schools, we will continue to monitor the situation in collaboration with the Doddridge County Sheriff's Office, WV State Police, Homeland Security and the Fusion Center.
