Middle School Art Teacher Recognized
Congratulations to Doddridge County Middle School Art Teacher Jennifer Johnson who was named the West Virginia Art Education Association’s Middle Art Educator for 2024. The award ceremony was held on Friday, November 8 at West Virginia University Museum of Art. Doddridge County Superintendent Scott Cochran attended the ceremony and said afterward, “We are so grateful for Miss Johnson’s dedication to her students at Doddridge County Middle School. It is wonderful for others to acknowledge and celebrate her effectiveness as a teacher. She has a gift in reaching students through art.”
The purpose of the West Virginia Art Education Association is to advance West Virginia art education and promote the arts as essential elements in education programs. Johnson was given her award at the annual West Virginia Art Education Association’s annual meeting in Morgantown.
