Mental Health/Holistic Child Department

    HOLISTIC CHILD DEPARTMENT: While attending Doddridge County Schools, your student may meet with the School Counselor to assist with academics, social and emotional guidance/development as well as behavioral issues if needed throughout the school year. Other staff members who are an extension of the school counseling program that may have contact with your child include: Amanda Gum, School Social Worker/DCHS Communities in Schools Site Coordinator; Rosella Amos; Behavior Specialist, Happy Plaugher; PERC Coordinator/Mental Health Specialist, Tiffany Flanagan County Mental Health Specialist/DCMS Communities in Schools Site Coordinator, Wil Bragg; DCES Communities in Schools Site Coordinator, and Jeremy Waugaman; County Mental Health Coordinator/County Contact for Communities in Schools. As an extension of our school counseling programs, these positions assist Doddridge County students to become the best versions of themselves with a holistic approach. Communities in Schools West Virginia is another resource being utlized by the Doddridge County Board of Educations Holistic Child Department to create success for students within our community. The Holistic Child Department will continue to provide students with an array of services and with continued community partnerships and supports expand opportunities for students. Communities in Schools West Virginia is an evidence-based approach, adapted to meet each community's unique needs, which is the key for the programs success.
